Post-acquisition problems we know well

Every acquisition creates complexity. Misaligned brands, disconnected teams, and marketing that was never built to scale. Left unaddressed, it quietly erodes the value you worked hard to build.

  • Brands that don't match the business anymore

You acquired a company with a logo from 2006, a website that hasn’t been updated in three years, and messaging that no longer reflects what they do. That kind of outdated presence undermines trust with buyers and makes integration harder than it should be. We come in, clean it up, and bring everything up to the standard the business deserves.

  • A website that can't keep up

Portfolio companies often run on outdated websites that were never built to scale. They’re slow, hard to update, and use an eclectic assortment of plugins and technologies that aren’t standardized that make them hard to manage. When you need to move fast, they become a bottleneck. We redesign, rebuild, or consolidate them into a single web presence that works for the business you’re becoming.

  • A lean marketing team stretched too thin

Most acquired companies have someone handling marketing, but often not a full team behind them to drive the strategy and execution. We come in as an extension of that team, bringing the diverse skillsets and senior marketing support needed to move faster and do more.

  • No clear story for what you've built

After a merger or acquisition, there’s always a moment where nobody quite knows what to say anymore. The story that worked before the deal doesn’t hold up, and without a new one to replace it, momentum stalls. We build the messaging that gives everyone something clear to stand behind.

The post-acquisition marketing guide

Most PE firms treat marketing as an afterthought after the deal closes. This report covers what to do instead and how to get your portfolio companies branded, positioned, and generating leads from day one.

Where marketing creates value after the ink dries

Bringing the brands together

Every acquisition raises the same hard questions. Do you keep both brands or retire one? Do you merge them or let them run independently? We help you work through those decisions and come out the other side with a clear answer.

Branding

Building a modern digital foundation

Most acquired companies are running on outdated tools and systems that were never built to scale. We modernize the whole setup: websites, marketing tools, and the digital infrastructure needed to support a growing business.

Website design

Content that makes the combined business feel like one

After an acquisition, the sales team is selling something new with nothing to back them up. We fill that gap fast with SEO pages that help buyers find you, brochures, case studies, and enablement material that gives your team something credible to put in front of a prospect.

Content marketing

Design that makes multiple companies look like one

Acquisitions leave a trail of mismatched logos, inconsistent visuals, and brand assets that were never meant to coexist. We bring everything into alignment so the business that emerges from M&A looks intentional, cohesive, and built to last, not like three companies that happened to merge.

Your most asked questions about how we support the M&A moment

  • How does marketing actually create value during M&A?

The M&A moment is when marketing has the most leverage and the least attention. That’s the gap we close.

For deal teams, value shows up when integrations move faster, the combined business has a clear story, and the brand holds up under scrutiny from future acquirers. For operators, it shows up when the sales team has what they need to keep selling through the transition.

We build the marketing foundation that makes both possible. Faster integration, a consistent story across every acquired company, and a business that looks built to scale when the next buyer comes around.

  • Do you work with PE firms and their portfolio companies?

We work as an extension of both the PE firm and the operating teams, not an outside vendor who needs a lot of hand-holding. But this is a longer answer and it’s all on our PE page.

  • What does your 90-day integration framework look like?

The first 90 days after an acquisition matter more than most people expect. We focus on the things that create immediate clarity and momentum.

That means unifying the brand, rebuilding or consolidating websites around the new business, creating the content and sales material the team needs to go to market, and establishing a baseline for lead generation. By the end of it, the acquired company looks, sounds, and operates like part of the team.

  • Do you only come in after the deal closes?

Not always. The best time to bring us in is before close.

We offer marketing due diligence as part of the pre-close process: assessing the brand, website, tech stack, and go-to-market position of an acquisition target so you know exactly what you’re inheriting and what it will take to bring it up to speed. If you’re already post-close, we move fast.

  • How do you charge for services?

We work on flexible retainers, which means you get access to a senior marketing team without the overhead of building one in-house.

It keeps costs predictable, lets you shift priorities as new acquisitions come in, and means we already know your business when the next deal closes. No repeated onboarding, no starting from scratch.

  • Why not hire another agency?

Most agencies are great at executing tactics. We’re focused on something different.

We work specifically with PE-backed and acquisitive companies, which means we understand what valuation, integration, and scalability actually require. We build the kind of marketing infrastructure that makes companies easier to grow, easier to operate, and easier to sell. That focus changes the work we do and the results you get.

Turn your marketing into a predictable, trackable growth system.
