EUNA: Relaunching a website for a business in transition, positioning it for growth
Project background
EUNA Solutions (formerly known as GTY) is a cloud-based software provider specializing in digital solutions for the public sector. Serving over 3,000 organizations, their solutions cover everything from procurement and budgeting to payments and grants across sectors like government, healthcare, and transportation. Amid acquisitions, business consolidation, rebranding, and leadership shifts, EUNA needed a digital marketing partner to help develop a website reflective of their new direction.
The challenge
EUNA’s business was in a state of rapid change. They needed a website not only reflective of their rebranding and restructuring, but also one with a user-friendly back end to support their very dynamic business. As Ryan Burgio, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Stryve put it:
“EUNA was seeking a digital partner who could tackle the challenge of developing their website while they were in the midst of a rebrand, navigating the added complexity with expertise and flexibility.”
Acquisitions and business consolidation meant there were new products, industries, and audiences the website needed to serve. The fresh rebrand meant that there was an opportunity to bring the brand to life digitally unlike ever before.
The approach
Phases of site architecture and content creation
Working closely with EUNA, we established the new site architecture for phase 1 and phase 2 of the website. Given the extensive changes the business was undergoing, we adopted an iterative approach to the website development process, focusing on a minimal viable product for phase 1 and a larger website with added features and pages for phase 2. This enabled EUNA to go to market as soon as possible to meet aggressive targets while being strategic about the positioning of their renewed offerings and content strategy. Together, we prioritized key messaging, content, and pages for phase 1.
Iterative website planning and modular design
When designing the website, we needed to be forward looking about how the business was changing. The biggest need for EUNA was flexibility, which is why our approach to the website was to build skeleton modules that could easily be used across a variety of pages. The modular design approach provided EUNA with a variety of layouts and blocks they could use across the site. Each module provided visual hierarchy, room for text, and imagery. The modules could be used for future pages and content could easily be swapped.
Visual expression
Our design strategy for the website relaunch was deeply intertwined with EUNA’s rebranding efforts. We collaborated closely with their design team, including Samantha Johnston (Creative Design Manager), to interpret and translate the evolving brand identity into a digital format. Working collaboratively as co-creative directors, we ensured that the website design accurately reflected the new brand while also meeting the unique demands of a digital platform.
A major aspect of our design strategy was accessibility, particularly given the brand’s color palette. We conducted extensive testing to ensure that all elements were accessible to all users. This led to a clean, modern, and professional website design that aligned with the client’s vision. We employed a white background to enhance readability, recolored product shots to be more on-brand, and strategically used orange as an accent color for interactions. Purple was chosen for secondary CTAs, while dark blue was used for primary buttons, creating a cohesive and visually appealing user experience.
The impact
EUNA launched their new name, branding, and suite of solutions online with a website designed to grow alongside them. Through modular design, we developed a user-friendly website that could meet the changing needs of their business.
- Established EUNA as a parent company by clearly communicating the suite of brands and technology under the overarching EUNA brand.
- Allowed users to navigate the site by identifying themselves via their industry or by the solutions they sought.
- Translated new branding and showcased how the brand can extend into digital.
- Custom page builders and web modules that allow for rapid content changes and codeless customization.
