The London 2012 summer games have been nicknamed the “social Olympics” given the exponential growth of social media since the last games took place in 2008. With TPM (Tweets per minute—yes that’s a “thing” now!) rates as high as 80,000 for Usain Bolt’s 200 meter sprint, it’s no surprise there were some world-class social media fails along the way. While some of these missteps will be laughed off, others carry more serious consequences. Here, we give you the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of the London 2012 Social Olympics.
