LinkedIn is back and better than ever. And the success is reflected in Microsoft’s bottom line. The acquisition by Microsoft has turned LinkedIn into a social media darling, in a time when its competition is catching some serious flack. LinkedIn is quietly asserting itself as an effective, safe and exciting platform for professionals and marketers alike.
It’s no longer the neglected stepchild of the social media world. It’s the most robust B2B social platform. Facebook can’t compete on the B2B side. And Twitter isn’t exactly a positive social platform at the moment.[/intro]
How We’re Betting Big
We’re pushing our clients to use LinkedIn as a way to amplify their content strategy. We’re testing direct sponsored content campaigns across the board. We’ve seen some great results from our campaigns to date. We want to do more.
But it’s not just our clients that are pushing forward. Stryve is actively pushing its own content through the platform. But why LinkedIn? Why are we so amped about this platform for ourselves and clients?
LinkedIn’s Just Better Across The Board
A Superior B2B Advertising Platform
LinkedIn’s sponsored content advertising is excellent. Why? Targeting is based on trustworthy data. Users are professionals looking to highlight their skills, experience, and education. This is hard to fake. Because of this, occupational-based targeting is quite accurate. This is not just a hypothesis. Leads generated through our direct sponsored campaigns line up to our targeting. And we’ve tried other platforms for B2B advertising. Facebook and Twitter don’t come close.
It’s Brand Safe. No Riff Raff.
LinkedIn’s CPCs typically run between $8-$12 for campaigns we’ve run. What? That’s crazy!!! We love it. It keeps away the riff-raff and the scammers. And it keeps campaigns focused on businesses with a budget. Budget means expertise. Budget means campaigns that don’t annoy users.
Plus its brand safe. Our ads aren’t showing up next to crazy Donald Trump tweets or before controversial videos. Our ads shows up beside professional content. We love that.
The Top Influencers in the World Are on LinkedIn
LinkedIn’s influencer program is stellar. It’s a collection of 500+ of the world’s leading thinkers and innovators. And it’s bringing people to the platform. People that we can target and influence. I follow Ray Dalio, Guy Kawasaki, and Bill Gates. They provide insightful content I can’t find anywhere else. This keeps me glued to LinkedIn.
Their Vision Aligns with Ours
I’m a big fan of Jeff Weiner. I’d put him in the top 5 of global CEOs. And I’m not the only one. Jeff is consistently ranked by his employees as one of the top-ranked CEOs on Glassdoor. But more importantly, I like Jeff’s vision for LinkedIn. It’s about making business professionals more productive and successful. This is entirely in line with our goal for B2B marketing at Stryve. Our job is to make our customers better at their jobs. If LinkedIn continues to deliver on this vision, we’re confident that we’ll be able to do great B2B marketing on the platform.
“Our mission is to connect the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful, and our vision to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce.”
– Jeff Weiner, CEO Linkedin
But it’s really about a much bigger vision. LinkedIn’s grand vision is to build the economic graph, a way to map the digital economy. Why does this matter to Stryve? We’re excited about a singular platform that will allow us to communicate to the universe of professionals. A single source for connection means we can run robust and powerful campaigns on a scale never seen before. LinkedIn is making big bets on the future of digital economy. And that’s why Stryve’s betting big on them.
